Local Moving Company Helps Thanksgiving Food Drives

volunteers delivering boxes

As a moving company that is active in our local community, we receive a lot of requests for assistance from so many worthy causes. We do our best to help as many as possible. So this Thanksgiving, as our neighbors face food insecurity, we pitched in again to help food drives in the same communities that we serve. My Guys Moving & Storage provided boxes, manpower, and trucks to transport food, clothes, and other essential items to make life a little more comfortable for those less fortunate.

The amazing individuals who run local organizations, such as Women Giving Back, The Tin Cup Fund, and MASE Faith Foundation get contacted regularly by school parent liaisons, case managers, and social workers on behalf of those who are in constant financial struggle or those who sometimes just need a little assistance to get over a rough patch. These organizations and non-profits then reach out to community stewards, corporate sponsors and volunteers to help meet the need. My Guys Moving & Storage is proud to be a part of this group and appreciates the opportunity to give back. And as one of our friends says, “Giving is contagious!” Some stats from the Women Giving Back event:
300 cars loaded
1,542 individuals served
12,473 pounds of food provided

• 48% Loudoun County
• 47% Fairfax County
• 3% Prince William County
• 2% other
