For additional help with senior move management, transition and relocation issues affecting senior citizens, you can select an accredited senior move manager from the National Association of Senior Move Managers (NASMM).
They will do things such as organize and reduce clutter before your move, help you choose what to take, tag items for placement, supervise packing and loading, set-up and put away things, hang framed art and photos, and set-up your new living environment.

“I was in a bit of a "pickle" as I was to remove items from my elderly client's home in order to get it prepped for pre-settlement walk through. I had taken a bad fall a few days prior and wasn't in the physical condition to be of assistance as I had desired. Combined with the threat of bad weather, I knew that I would be challenged in keeping my commitment to assist. I reached out via text to Terry Williams...my main man in the moving industry asking if it would be at all possible to secure a truck to move a few remaining items from my client's home to my home that same day. “Thanks to My Guys for such a wonderful move! We just moved my Mother-in-Law from Fairfax County to Loudoun County and used My Guys. From the beginning to the end, we all, but especially my MIL, felt completely taken care of and respected from the company and crew. From the beginning process with Josh to the move in with Gustavo and the rest of the crew they handled the move with professionalism and care. Like most moves, they can be a bit emotional. Especially an older person moving from a home they shared w/ a deceased spouse. The crew w/ My Guys were so respectful and caring. At one point at the very end my MIL got quite emotional. I was in another part of the house, but Gustavo came and found me to let me know so I could tend to my MIL. So yes, I can absolutely attest to the fact they did an excellent job moving her belongings to and from and taking care of all her keepsakes/memories etc. But what impressed me most about this company was how compassionate they all were. They absolutely buckled down and got to work and finished when they said they would, but the personal touches throughout the entire move was quite a positive experience. We had multiple stops after everything was packed up (storage, other drop off points) and the crew worked so hard making it all happen with care and ease. I would absolutely highly recommend My Guys to friends/family in the future. My only regret is that I didn't get a picture of the crew w/ my MIL. At the end they all called her Mom.”
